Hi there, I’m Lee Ann
I am a Dyslexia Practitioner and Teacher with many years of experience helping children reach their full potential.

Bio
During my 18+ years of teaching, I have used my passion for learning to inspire my students to grow. I have a deep interest in the unique needs of children with reading difficulties. Starting my career as a Title I Reading and Math tutor, I was quickly drawn to helping children overcome hurdles. Throughout my classroom teaching experience, I used a multi-modal approach and worked closely with support staff to ensure my students who learned differently were fully engaged. As an Orton-Gillingham trained Dyslexia Practitioner, I continue to revel in helping children gain mastery of difficult concepts and build confidence knowing they have accomplished something significant.

As a mother whose children have battled dyslexia, dysgraphia and dyscalculia, I also have a very personal connection to those who learn differently and the parents who support them. Working hard to find alternative ways for my children to master skills gave me an important perspective that many educators lack. I can fully identify with the challenges that parents must overcome to advocate for their children, as well as, the emotional impact on my students of dealing with learning differences.
